The Izzie Bandeau Bow Jumpsuit

Ankara jumpsuit

Hey lovelies, I hope everyone’s having a good week? Today’s outfit features the Izzie Bandeau Bow Jumpsuit. As some of you already know, I recently collaborated with a Nigerian women’s wear brand called SGTC clothing to design this pretty number as part of their summer collection and I’m definitely happy with the way it turned out.
I personally love this brand and was so excited to take part in bringing this collection to life. I have posted a couple of pieces from them here on the blog. If you missed these looks, not to worry, you can see them here and here

I live for colour and all things Ankara and that’s why I’m so drawn to their pieces. I can’t scroll through Instagram without looking twice when a photo of SGTC clothing pops up on my screen. They definitely create eye catching designs that make you stand out.
I wanted to create something feminine and playful with a bit of drama. To achieve this, I knew adding a bow made out of Ankara fabric would bring all the drama it needed for the perfect statement piece. It matches so well with this shade of pink and of course it wouldn’t feel like summer without throwing in some pastel colours into your closet. Pastels are really hot right now and I’m so here for it.

I went for a fitted design as I generally prefer figure hugging clothes and to achieve this, a stretchy fabric was used.
I believe it’s quite a versatile piece because you could totally rock it from day to night.
I decided to pair it up with some nude heels, as I believe it works better with a pair of neutral shoes since there’s already a lot going on with the jumpsuit itself. Black is an obvious colour to go for when deciding what shoes to wear, however, if I was to pick another colour besides nude, it would be white or gold.

This shade of pink pops against turquoise so I accessorised lightly with some turquoise earrings along with my go to watch and a ring set.
I didn’t feel it was necessary to wear anything on my neck but that’s just my choice. In this case, be sure to go crazy with the highlighter on your shoulders and collar bones. Bath in it if you have to, be it day or night. Although, I didn’t do this here but it’s an option for when you’re in the middle of getting your face beat. I’m always here for that glow ? Sometimes I even find myself applying a little bit of highlighter on my cheeks to go to the gym lol. When it comes to the gym, It’s either a little bit of highlighter or no makeup at all. Best makeup trend ever!
