How To Pick A Christmas Dress | Plus-sized Fashion

So I’m finally getting to share with you all, my Christmas look. I love this time of the year. I must admit the parties are definitely enticing. This year, my goal was to get dressed up in a gown, may I add that an “affordable” gown was also a goal. As a plus size girl, I must admit, I struggle to find the perfect gown that flatters my body. There were two things on my mind, my desire to look regal and incorporating one of my favourite colour (Blue).

1. Choose a colour that works best for you

As seen below,  I selected this dress because of its several advantages, the ruffles below and the vibrant colour. Blue generally looks good on any skin tone, so when in doubt choose blue. I also did not want to wear a colour that was always known to be more popular around this time of the year… Close your ears as I scream out the favourite” Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed’.

2. Decide if you want to blend in or stand out

As mentioned earlier, I wanted to stand out. So if that your goal as well, then I most certainly recommend this dress.

3. Choose a dress that flatters your figure

Lastly, another benefit to wearing a dress with ruffles on the bottom colour that it favourite your heights, which in turn helps to achieve a trimmer waistline verses having the ruffles placed anywhere else. Merry Christmas Everyone and wishing you all a fabulous holiday.

Lollysticks

Bio: My name is Lola aka lollysticks and I am a plus size fashion blogger from Nigeria based in the states. I am also the co- Founder of Kairosshoppers, an online market place & destination for fashion forward individual. I have been a curvy girl all my life but that has never stopped my longing to be stylish and trendy. While it has sometimes been difficult, I have learned throughout the years how to dress my frame in the most flattering ways possible. I definitely live by the saying “Dress to fit your body” however that doesn’t mean that you can’t take current fashion and make them work for you. I saw a gap in the market many years ago that plus size dolls, weren’t been celebrated neither was the fashion industry paying attention to the need to create flattering clothing for us. So in order to show that, I decided to start my blog as well as design with the catch phrase “lollysticks in partnership with my business kairosshoppers” My mission and my goal was simple – to show that curvy women can be just as stylish and fabulous as everyone else. Since my debut, of https://kairosshoppers.com/blogs/lollysticks, I have being featured in some publications such as Huffman Post, Bellanaijaweddings. Etc. I look forward to many more features and publications.
