How To Look Stylish On A Rainy Day

Yes, it may have been raining cats and dogs in certain African countries over the past few weeks, but that’s no excuse to leave your style at home ladies. No, in everything you do this season, make it stylish. But what do you do when the rain messes up your good outfits, and turns your shoes to suds? Well, looking stylish during the rainy season is an art form, an art form we are going to be teaching you! Here is how to look stylish on a rainy day…

1. Wear a raincoat but make it fashion

Just because you have on a raincoat is no reason to look frumpy.  Wear a bright coloured raincoat to brighten the cold and cloudy mood, and make sure what you are wearing underneath is just as stylish. You can layer your raincoat with a bright coloured cardigan or blazer, and wear sneakers for that laid back effect.

2. Get yourself a stylish umbrella

And what umbrella is more stylish than a bubble umbrella?  They don’t just serve as water repellents, they also help you make a statement in your rainy day fit. Just ask the Queen on England, and she will concur.

If you don’t have a bubble umbrella, no worries. Make sure what you are wearing stays stylish, and your umbrella does the same.

3. Wear bright colours, and match print

Colours are what this day needs, bright, vivid, trending colours. Also, now is the time to match prints. Think of the day as a gloomy backdrop that needs something bright and playful to make it shine. Your style is that bright playful thing. Match your prints playfully and notice how people stare!
