Color correcting may seem super straight forward to some people, but there is more to it than just rubbing color corrector on your face and blending it out. It is usually advisable to color correct before applying makeup if you suffer from hyperpigmentation or other discolorations.

What is color correcting?

But, before we get into it, color correcting is used to diminish any discoloration you may have on your skin. It could be redness, dark circles, or even acne spots. These are usually common on dark skin women, and color-correcting before makeup is a good way to diminish the look of these blemishes.
