The Veuve Clicquot is one of the most glamorous events and it came in true fashion. A day of polo, adoration of champagne and of course, plenty of photos to commemorate the occasion.
The Veuve Clicquot hosts the event every year at the Lagos Polo Club, Ikoyi, but this year’s event was special as it hosted its 8th annual VIP Lounge at the Lagos International Polo Tournament.
This year, saw celebrities, socialites and some of the country’s most fashionable attendees treated to a never-ending supply of champagne, a thrilling polo match with renowned athletes and gourmet canapes from Chef Freg as they enjoyed the game.
Among the attendees were Modupe Alakija, Linda Ikeji, Adunni Ade, Folu Storms, Denola Grey, Kemen, Anto Lecky, Tola Odunsi, Makinda Mouka, Stephanie Coker among others.
This year’s tournament saw the Lagos Alchemy secure a win for the Silver Cup while the Leighton Sao Polo emerged winners of the Open Cup, which the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, presented.
In its second week, the Leighton Kings took home the coveted Majekodunmi Cup in a match against the Lagos Lintex while Lagos A+ RCF won the Governor’s Cup, which the Lagos State Governor, Babjide Sanwo-Olu presented. Lagos NRT won the Low Cup.
The prestigious event offers premium hospitality and has become a somewhat important date on the Lagos Social calendar, making it one of the most exclusive events in the country.
